Some recommendations for Yoga practice

I have some people came to me and ask more information about Yoga, what it is about and what they should do to attend a Yoga class. So I think it is time to write a post about some good "to do" when you practise Yoga.

  •  Don't eat a meal 4 hours before your practice (but you can always have some dried fruit and nuts to have a boost of energy)

  • During the practice, drink as little water as you can

  • After the practice, start by drinking a hot tea and only eat 1/2 h after the end of practice

  • Wear fit and breathable fabric clothing

  • Invest in a good yoga mat

  • I suggest coconut water for its benefit: low cab, low sugar, fat free and high in Chlorid (much higher than in the sport drinks)
  • Yoga is not a sport, it is an art of living, combine it with a healthy diet. Your body is the temple of your soul, venerate it with the best things.

Yogiiiiiii Hotiiiiiiiies :-)

Lots of girls have asked me how they should dress to go to a Yoga class, here's some of my input:

  • No big oversized T-shirt since you will feel embarrassed when you do some postures like "down facing dog" (pyramide in French)

  • Comfortable material like coton or specialized fabric for sport to keep your body cool and warm

  • Comfortable pants in which you can move, no golf pants for example

Here're some of my work-out attires. A pair of fitted black pants is my "uniform", these make everyone's butt look good :-) My favorite brand is Lululemon Atheletica, unfortunately they are not available in Europe yet, but you can buy from their online store (be careful, you will have to pay custom charges! :-( )

On the top, I always wear a sport bra... you have to be confident enough to wear this in the gym because not a lot of people do. :-) Can you tell that I am a "sport bra whore" :P

When it is getting hotter, I love running shorts! The ones with built-in undies... so you can do all the postures safely without worrying about showing what you don't want to show...
I love Lululemon for shorts as well, but I just recently discovered Stella Mccartney for Adidas, they make some super cute runnning shorts!

If you don't feel the bra+shorts look, then layer a cami tank on the top, you can always roll it up if you get too hot.:-)
A part of my bra collection... I have at least 5 others in the washing machine! I am addicted, can you tell that? :-)

Hope this post give you some inspiration of how to  look cute in the gym. It is such a wonderful moment of well-being when you do yoga/work out, so dress nicely and feel beautiful in your skin!

Like a flower, waiting to bloom...

I have always believed that every woman is a flower and we have a goddess in each of us and we are waiting for the moment to bloom and shine...

The weather is getting warmer and this makes me want to prepare my wardrobe to welcome the Summer. Want to share with you some of my latest purchases here:

  • ZARA floral layered top
  • H&M Garden Collection rose dress (this collection used recyclable fabric)
  • MNG floral 80's shorts (well, actually I got it at the end of last Summer)

Yes, flower, flower and flower... feel girly in the floral trend and let out the goddess in you!

I feel very lucky to be able to put my hands on this limited edition dress from H&M Garden Collection, it is delicate, romantic and yet provocative, it is shouting "Look at me!" :-)

A close-up of my ZARA lace-up sandales. I was not keen on buying shoes from clothing stores, but lately I found really stylish ones from ZARA and I won't complain about the good price...

These shorts will be my favorite this Summer... love the 80's running short style and it is so soft and light.

Another great purchase from ZARA, my floral layered top. It is in a soft ivory yellowish tone... I feel like a fairy living in this urban jungle.

I feel really inspired by the floral trend, I would like to share with you some Yoga postures here to help you open your body and bloom like a flower...

The openess of your mind is often linked to the openess of your body, open yourself and bloom like a flower... you know you are a goddess!
An excellent week of practice!
