May is a busy busy month, lots of birthday parties for me... :-) and one of the most important ones is my best friend Marilou's yesterday evening. This is the first year she moved to Brussels and started to work here, so I thought a special gift is mandatary, guess what I got her...?
A name necklace! Just like the one Carrie Bradshaw wears in Sex and the City :-) Since Marilou wears mostly silver tone jewellery, so a silver necklace can't go wrong....
I have got one myself as well, it is in gold since I am a "gold digger" :pBoth necklaces photographed together...
I love layering my name necklace with other necklace...
Of course, I wouldn't miss this special occasion to dress up a little... I was wearing my favorite cream lace dress from H&M. Girls, lace is big this season, don't go but run to grab a lace dress :-) And I love how this dress has a sexy back zip in gold tone, goes perfectly with my gold jewellery....
Arrived at the party, can't wait to show my gift..:p
We now are "necklace twins" :-)
This was "sugar on the cake", I met a friend from High School that I hadn't seen for 8 years... We had such great time together and we are going to see Sex and the City 2 together next week, wooohooooo!!! :-)
Me after Martini Rosetta, Sangria and Champagne... you can see little stars in my eyes lol... Time to go home, I have my Yoga class in a few hours.... :p

A girl I know came to me yesterday and told me this while crying: she went to a club with some friends... her "skinny but unattractive" friend (as she said) got hit by guys all the time and she didn't get any attention. She concluded that it's because she's a bit curvy and "guys like skinny girls!"
I looked at her, she is a bit curvy but definitely not overweighted. I don't know how many times I have heard from guys that they love girls with a bit curve and not a "stick skinny" one! And different men have different taste...So what's happened?
(via FashionGoneRogue)
While I was trying to find an answer to the question, the girl continued complaining that all the negative things took place in her life are because of her weight! The fact she couldn't get male's attention, the fact that she couldn't get a promotin at work etc. All of a sudden I realized that the only problem she has is that she has lost her best accessorie "the confidence"! Just like a piece of accessoire can make a basic outfit stands out, women who have confidence stand out of the crowd! They may be not the best looking girls that you can find, but they have it all, a great job, the best looking boyfriend and tons of people around them!
So woman, accessorize your with confidence and feel like being on top of the World! :)
Power to those who embrace their body, their age and who they are... keep in mind that we all are goddess! xxx
The cold weather has made its come-back since Sunday evening... I think a recipe of a delicious soup should please a lot of you to fight against the cold. And also, lots of you told me that when it comes to cook veggie, sometimes there's a lack of inspiration...so here it is , an easy way to eat healthy.
I have chosen this special pumpkin+sweet potatos soup because it can be served hot and as well as cold. It has a soft/slightly sweet taste, perfect for fighting against the cold in this early Spring time.....
You need these:
1/8 pumpkin
3 small sweet potatos
Knorr veggie cube
alpro soja cream
Some people keep the skin of the potatos and pumpkins, but I prefer peeling the skin to have a more smooth texture for my soup.
Cut them into small pieces.
Put all the veggie in a pot.
Put 2 Knorr cubes (you can add salt and pepper later)
Put some water to cover all the veggie... don't put too much water since if the soup is too thick for your taste, you can always add some water... but this soup is supposed to be a thick one.
Cover the pot and cook the veggie.
Once the veggie is cooked , use a blender to mix them
Until you obtain a smooth, thick texture.
Now taste it, and add some salt and pepper if it is necessary.
Serve it with a touch of soja cream...
Bon appétit!
Let this delicious soup warm your body and your heart!
Just a side note to my dear colleague Joëlle who is a big fan of all my recipes and who gives me lots of positif feedback... hope this soup will bring you a touch of softness and warmness in this phase of your life which is not easy at all, as they said, you have to go through the rain in order to see the rainbow... lots of love

There's one thing that I always say, " Dance like nobody is watching, dance to bring out your sensuality and feminity...dance your sexy @ss off... :D"
Lots of my girls in Zumba class come to me and tell me how they enjoy and appreciate the class ( Girls, believe me, I am the lucky one to have you all in my class... <3 ).
As many of you may have known that I had danced for almost 10 years (from 7-16) and then I "broke up"(yes, that is the word) with the dance since I couldn't continue as a semi-professional dancer because of my height... when the jury told me that, I heard litteraly the sound of my heart breaking...and then I threw away all my dance costumes, burned all the awards I got in the past...
During the past years, I have hardly talked about dance and even less my past... I needed the time to move on from this "10-year relationship". Somehow there's always a little fire in the very deep inside of me keeps burning and I felt a part of me missing... until one day, I woke up and realized I NEED TO DANCE!
I opened my Zumba class and almost immediately it had great success... I see so many girls being shy and hardly move when they come for the first time and then transform to a real "dancing queen" after several classes... :-)
The message that I want to spread through my classes is, " Feel comfortable in your heels, bring out the goddessin you! Enjoy yourself, enjoy what you are doing, enjoy the present..."
(source: google, dirty dancing)
Another story, I had a girl talk with my girls in Chinese class about love relationships. We have talked about the book "why men love bitches" (I will write a post about this funny book that I recommand all the girls to read for a good laugh...:D )
Then we concluded that we should not open our heart and protect ourselves in a relationship... haha, how lame!
I walked home while thinking about this conversation. Suddenly I felt sad that in this urban jungle, people have to pretend & protect... can't we one day be loved just for what we are?
Certainly you can play safe and protect your heart, but if the door is closed, you won't get hurt but nobody can enter in either... keep your mind and heart open is the only way to recieve...
Love is such a gift, do you still remember the feeling of fall in love for the first time...? Heard this song "Baby" by Justin Bieber on the radio and found it on the You Tube and want to share it with you all (ok, I know it is such a cheesy song, but I just love it... :p) the text is so sweet, haven't we all been there some time in our life...? Ok, I may make a choregraphy of this song for next Zumba class... ;-)
"Love like your heart has never been broken... there's no better feeling than giving, loving and enjoying... even you may get hurt, at least you will have lived & loved!" I told myself last night before falling asleep...
Haha, sorry for the long written post... I am feeling a little bit "Carrie Bradshaw" these days... :p
Enjoy and keep your face to the Sun, smile... :-) as I always say love is the key word...
